The sound travels 1000 feet/second in wave form. If the room has a typical home reverberation time of 0.6 seconds, the sound will travel 600 feet in 0.6 second, and a sound wave will ricochet about the room some 60 times before becoming essentially inaudible. That's why many systems sounds bright, ear hurting, veiled, dizzy, and colored. If you want to hear the true sound of your current sound system, put your hands right above your ears as pictures A and B, Not like C.(while you are listening music with your sound system.)
A B Not like C This cuts off the bounced sound from ceiling. This helps to hear the original sound from front loudspeakers. The soundstage should be natural, clean, musical, and simple. Just like live music!
Placing
large paper boards (sketch book) on the top of speakers will stop
the sound reaching to the ceiling. This helps to hear the original
sound of your speakers. Try to live with it for few days. You and family
will like the sound.
The sound of your system with Mi-Horn will be very similar to the sound from above methods. Mi-Horn will reduces the reflection sound from side walls and floor too. Also, Mi-Horn increases SPL. Just remember that Mi-Horns are only 2 inches high, but Mi-Horn is more effective and accurate then any above methods. And looks great! Happy listening!
